Arrival by train

Paderborn has a central main station as well as two other stations (Kasseler Tor and Nordbahnhof). Paderborn’s main station is served by many regional and national trains, e.g. by ICE from Darmstadt or Munich, by IC from Cologne, by RE from Düsseldorf or Kassel, by S-Bahn from Hannover, or by regional trains from Bielefeld or Münster.

Once you arrive at the main station, you can continue your journey either by cab (journey time about 10 minutes) or by bus. For this purpose, line 11 in the direction of Thuner Siedlung to the MuseumsForum stop runs every half hour with a journey time of about 10 minutes.

PaderSprinter – Public Transport in Paderborn

The PaderSprinter has almost 30 different lines running through Paderborn. Tickets can be purchased directly on the bus, however, the PaderSprinter app is highly recommended, as the timetables are also available there and tickets are cheaper than on the bus. Here we have summarized the bus connections between the respective hotels and the most important places of the conference for you.

In addition, there will be a bus connection “11 Sonderfahrt”, which will take all conference participants on 19.09., 20.09. and 21.09.23 at 8:30 a.m. each day from the main train station (incl. stops at Westerntor (approx. 8:31), Neuhäuser Tor (approx. 8:32), Fürstenweg (approx. 8:33)) to the conference venue (Museums Forum).

Arrival by car

By car, Paderborn is easily accessible from various directions. Coming from the north and west, you can use Autobahn 2 with a change to Autobahn 33 at the Bielefeld intersection. Coming from the south, east, or west, you can use Autobahn 44 with a change to Autobahn 33 at the Wünnenberg-Haaren intersection.

The address to enter into the navigation system is “Fürstenallee 7, 33102 Paderborn”. Parking is available at the conference venue (ZM2 & HNF) and will be indicated there. The parking areas at ZM2 can be seen in the following figure.

For e-cars, two charging stations are designated in the parking lot of the Heinz Nixdorf Museumsforum. An EU-standardized Type 2 plug is required for this. Payment is possible by EC card or via the traction current provider.

Arrival by plane

Paderborn is not far from the PAD airport (Paderborn/Lippstadt). There are flights here from Munich, Antalya, Heraklion, and Mallorca. From the airport, there is the possibility to reach the conference address by cab (travel time about 30 minutes) or bus line. Bus lines 400 and 460 run between PAD airport and the main train station. Then take line 11 in the direction of Thuner Siedlung and get off at the MuseumsForum stop.
